Steve and Kay's Polka Revue


In the 1960 and 70's two Salem residents Steve Czarnecki & Konstanty "Kay" Solodiuk hosted a program on WMLO 1570. The program was called Steve & Kays Polka Revue. WMLO was an AM radio station that broadcasted out of Beverly, Mass.

 

 

WESX 1230 AM


July 12, 1939 The North Shore Broadcasting Corporation gets permission to build a new radio station in Salem, they erect the transmission tower in Marbleheaad, Mass. The station originally broadcast at 1200kHz. On May 29, 1941 WESX moves up the dial to 1230 kHz where is stayed for the next 60 years.
